Hello All!
I have always admired Barb's hard work and dedication at making My Last Resort such a beautiful & comfortable vacation spot for our wonderful guests. As the resort has become more and more successful over the years, Barb found that she needed some help with all the work at the resort! I (Lisa) decided to step in toward the end of the summer of 2017 and help Barb keep her special haven going. She introduced me to the guests, and by the end of the season I was getting the hang of managing the resort. The 2018 season was my first time running the show! I have had a wonderful time getting to know the returning guests, meeting all the new ones, and working with our great team. I thank Barb & Dave for trusting in me to be part of such a wonderful family business.
Barb purchased the resort in 2004 after she sold Barb's General Store in Mikana, which she owned for 20 years. Barb has owned My Last Resort for 19 years. Barb tastefully remodeled all the cabins during this time. They have large decks that you can sit and enjoy the beautiful waterfront view on the Red Cedar Lake Channel - the beginning of the Red Cedar River. We're still hard at work making improvements and upgrades for you, and look forward to serving you for years to come!
